Year One

This week has been busy in Year One.

In Literacy, we spoke about when our birthday is and wrote birthday invitations to our friends. We also enjoyed playing phonics games and working on how to make a successful sentence. We practice tricky words, and make new words using sounds. We looked and spoke about how we grow and change.

In Math we focused on the math symbols + and -. We used number lines and concrete materials to help us find our answer.
We also worked on ordering the days of the week speaking and understanding our new vocabulary of today, yesterday and tomorrow.

In Creative Curriculum we enjoyed learning how different animals move and we painted a self portrait.

We are enjoying playing in our role play area which helps us used our new vocabulary we are learning in our Topic all around us!

Here are our photos enjoy.
